International Bilingual School at Tainan Science Park Hello Delegates! I am Karim Butt from the International Bilingual School at Tainan Science Park (IBST). I am in my senior year, and this is my third year participating in high school MUN events. I have attended over 10 conferences, and this is my third time chairing. I still remember that at my very first time attending a conference, I felt very nervous because I wasn’t very sure of the procedures and I did not really know how to lobby and merge with other people’s resolutions. If you are the same, don’t be afraid! People make mistakes all the time, but what’s important is that you learn from it. Second hand experience is not always enough, so take this opportunity to learn the procedures yourself by being actively engaged during debating procedures. I have high hopes of seeing a quality debate, so do remember to do your research!

National Tainan Girls' Senior High Hello, beautiful people. I am Angelina Chen, currently a junior in Tainan Girls' Senior High School. It is my honor to serve as your co-chair in SOCHUM. TainanMUN VI will be my seventh conference, but first time chairing. So I am overwhelmingly edgy and ecstatic. I love how MUN pushes us to come up with practical solutions for real global issues and encourages us to share our ideas and insights. It is a fantastic place to enhance our acuity, strengthen our logic and expand our knowledge in international affairs. After participating MUN, I am definitely more adept at organizing the abundance of information into my own words, mediating and persuading. Hence, MUN has been a wonderful experience for me, and I hope you guys feel the same way. For first MUNers, don’t be afraid to speak up and show us what you’re capable of. Now here are some very random facts about me: I love to look at pictures of adorable pugs and cats, drink soy milk right before bed and sing along with Disney movies when given the chance. I also enjoy reading anything in general (from cereal boxes to novels), MUNing, watching movies, hanging out with friends, and listening to Indie Pop. Anyway, I look forward to an enlightening conference in SOCHUM and hope to make TainanMUN VI a fantastic experience for you all.
