ChairJeffrey Chen (12)
American School in Taichung Hi. My name is Jeffrey Chen. My hobbies are playing music, reading, traveling, and nuclear warfare. Yes, that's a hobby. Nuclear warfare is just like asking a girl out: it's all about the target options, strategy, timing, buildup, risks, and competition. You keep thinking about the decisive moment over and over, but you never get there, because that's not the point. Even if you do (and may god save your soul), things never go as planned. The point is actually in the preparation. Just like MUN. Oh, and please, for the love of god, please, refrain from using overused phrases like "fruitful debate" because that's more cliché than quotes accompanying a teenage girl's selfie. If you pronounce Roman numerals iii as "sub-sub-clause eye eye eye" I'll punch an eye for an eye. But otherwise, enjoy yourselves, and feel free to ask me any questions at [email protected] . I look forwards to chairing you all.

Co-ChairRichie Wang(12)
American School in Taichung Hello everybody!
My name is Richie Wang, and I am currently a senior in American School in Taichung. TainanMUN will mark my fifth time chairing and my 15th conference. This year, along with Emma and Jeffrey, we will be leading you through some interesting topics that range from the Security Council to nuclear issues around the world. It should be pretty clear that our General Assembly will not be like any other GAs that you have attended; this one will be much cooler. When I was in 8th grade, I was put into the Security Council as a delegate, I was scared and I swore that I would never attend another conference. But I did, and here I am. To all the new delegates: please don’t be scared and panic all the way to the conference; MUN is supposed to be fun and entertaining. To all the experienced delegates: please don’t scare the new delegates. If you want to send me a message on Facebook or email me about anything, I will be happy to chat with you and show you that I don’t bite! I look forward to the new ideas that you guys will bring to the conference! |
Co-ChairEmma Liu (12)
American School in Taichun Hello everyone.
My name is Emma and I’m currently a senior in American School in Taichung. This year I will be co-chairing with Jeffrey and Richie for the General Assembly. My hobbies are playing volleyball, watching movies, and traveling. I started MUN debate in my freshman year and my first MUN experience was TAIMUN X. TainanMUN 2016 will mark as my fifth MUN conference. Being as a delegate for the past few conferences, I decided to give myself a challenge—the chair. And most importantly, to gain my first Holy MUN gavel during my high school MUN career. This conference will be my first chairing experience and I will certainly try my best. I am extremely delighted to chair my first MUN conference for the General Assembly and excited in participating TainanMUN 2016. I really look forward to meeting all the best delegates and enjoying the intense and fruitful debates. |
